A woman returns home one day from errands to find that, in a fit of ecstasy, her beloved pack of dogs has devoured her wife. Buckling under the weight of grief, she begins fantasizing that the dogs have been possessed by her deceased lover. After struggling with her devastation, and inspired by an encounter with a pregnant courier, the protagonist realizes she must let go of the past and devours her dogs in one last symbolic feast that purges her of the carnivorous bestiality of marriage.
