Two women decide to start a band despite having little to no musical abilities.
"F*ck Nice Guys" is a comedic short film about best friends, Violet and Charli, who decide to compete in a Battle of the Bands competition despite having zero musical experience. The short is a parody of the Brooklyn music scene and queer social scene. In this short, lesbian filmmaker, Kendall Payne, explores misguided feminism, performative wokeness, and the complexity of inclusive queer spaces.

A journey of self discovery, the short film became the main source of inspiration for the artist’s new series composed of twelve paintings.

CANCER, NO KIDDING ! is about Jeanne, new to chemo, her nurse Gaby, and some other patients who are seeking ways to deal with the side effects of the disease. But by “side effects”, they don’t mean nausea and so on… No! They mean the “real” side effects: the behavior of their relatives…
During this surprising quest, faced with the double issue “Cancer + Bullshit”, they built a new friendship and a new look on the relationship Patient/Caregiver. Which leads on an unexepected, touching, dramatic twist.

16 WORDS OR LESS is a film by Meghan Finn and Peggy Stafford, commissioned by Staging Film, a community of theater-makers and filmmakers who are exploring new ways to tell theater stories with film. 16 WORDS tells the story of a flower shop clerk who helps a grieving man find words to express his loss. Working with principal actors from the stage production, Crystal Finn (Plano, The Tick) and Neal Huff (Spotlight, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel), our aim was to recreate the unique connection that these actors had built in the stage production, in our film.
